Valencia will prepare and engage the current and future workforce for careers in advanced manufacturing by offering training and educational career pathways that lead to high-skill, high-wage employment. Valencia is working with CareerSource Central Florida and other community partners to match career opportunities with those who need them most.
Career Training and Academic Programs
Our programs provide short-term training and nationally-recognized industry certifications to prepare for careers in advanced manufacturing. We also offer opportunities for continuing education and degrees.
About the M-Path Initiative
Valencia’s “M-Path” initiative lays out a path for students to obtain nationally recognized industry certifications, college credit certificates and a Manufacturing Engineering Technology degree in key areas of need in the state’s manufacturing sector. The M-Path program is funded by a $2.5 million Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training initiative (TAACCCT) grant from the U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. Department of Education. Grant funds enable the hiring of staff and faculty, purchase of equipment and software, curriculum development, and design of Valencia’s Advanced Manufacturing Training Center.
Valencia College was previously honored by the Department of Labor with a grant to help fill highly sought after jobs in the exciting field of advanced manufacturing. Valencia College is a member of the Florida TRADE consortium.
